With the support of my parents I have had a comprehensive artistic training, a family full of discipline and a lot of love. They taught me to fight for my goals and carry them out, this gave me the possibility of fulfilling my dreams.

My name is Alejandra María Torres Gallego, my stage name is (Alejandra Torres), I was born in Manizales (Caldas), Colombia, but I consider myself a Citizen of the World.

I am a violinist, and the violin has accompanied me throughout my life, the first musical sounds I heard from my Father José Oscar Torres Arango from the womb of my Mother Consuelo Gallego de Torres.

I began to have contact with this instrument from the age of four, but I feel that long before the sound and beauty of this instrument were calling me.

My family is very artistic, not only professionals in this field, but people with a very deep cultural and human level. I always listened to classical music in my home, since my father was passionate about it, and he transmitted this to me from a very young age.

My mother, for her part, influenced me more with folklore and many other musical genres, my brother Oscar Dalberto Torres Gallego was already beginning to make his first steps in classical guitar and I listened to him daily in this artistic process, my childhood was surrounded by love for the music.

All this formed me as an artist and from that moment I knew that my interest went beyond a genre, I like life full of color, I cannot see only black and white and it was something that shaped my thought and my art.

With the support of my parents I have had a comprehensive artistic training, a family full of discipline and a lot of love, which gave me the opportunity to fulfill my dreams.

I have been fortunate to have the instruction of excellent teachers, Aida CasasBuenas, my first Teacher, was the one who opened this beautiful path with much love, patience and affection to a wonderful world when she was only 4 years old. Everything for me was full of fun and challenges, from her I received the first teachings, she motivated me to seek my talent every day, Eduardo Berrio, my second Master, a great violinist and pedagogue, taught me a lot about the technique, especially the right hand (el arco), one of the few Colombians who had the opportunity to study in Russia on a scholarship; Since he was a brilliant student and a child prodigy, he was a soloist and also a concertina violinist (main violin) of different important orchestras, both in the USA and in Colombia, his great experience filled me with strength to face the international violin world with his full advice of his interesting personal stories. Edward Eichwalder, my third Teacher, Violinist Violinist and my first teacher in Europe (Innsbruck) Austria, a super fun and very happy person, was a great support when I arrived in Europe, he was like an “angel” for me, he helped me with very difficult moments apart from having been by my side giving me a violin preparation to face Vienna “The Musical Capital of the World.” He helped my left hand technique to be much cleaner and taught me to be more exact with my tuning and movements. The last of my teachers Gerald Schubert, a relative of the great Austrian composer Franz Schubert. Member of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and the person who helps me make that great dream come true. A great human being and an excellent educator, he dedicated a lot of its time to prepare me for this excellent artistic world in Vienna and the world.

I owe my great achievements to each of them, in one way or another they were different teachers and they taught important ingredients not only in my violinist but also human life.
